This is a lively and enthusiastic Group which since it started in 2012 has had a fascinating range of talks about ancient worlds from the dawn of civilisation to the New World.
We have studied the growth of civilisations, their art and architecture, their culture, their beliefs and philosophy, and famous figures from the ancient past.
Our monthly meetings take the form of talks/presentations illustrated with members’ own photographs of places visited, or information obtained from books or the Internet about particular civilisations in which they have developed an interest.
New members will be warmly welcomed; no experience necessary, just an interest in this fascinating subject.
