Meetings held: Monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month except August; 10.00am to 12.00 noon.

Venue: The Upper Room, The Methodist Church, Perrymount  Road, Haywards Heath.

The Purpose of this group is to discuss local, national financial and economic issues in particular relating to our town and district. We have Town and District Councillors come to give talks on a wide range of relevant issues that concern all of us.

Also representatives from West Sussex County Council give talks on, for example, the condition of our roads. Talks also relate to individual financial subjects from solicitors and tax advisors. We also look at how our town should develop from both a commercial and social perspective as well as taking a broad non academic perspective as to what Economics is all about.

The talks are very much participative and a synopsis of each talk is subsequently prepared for distribution to each member.

Please contact David Waite on 01444 453954 if you would like to join us.

Members should be aware that U3A and its members cannot give authoritative advice and that any idea put forward at any of the meetings should be referred to an appropriate regulated advisor before any action is taken.
